I have a Tacoma TRD Pro. After I installed some Ditch lights I looked for a nice switch but there are really not many places on the front dash that can accommodate those black Toyota switches. Beside, those switches are like $10-$20 each. Only have one blank spot under the coin cubby to the left of steering wheel.

So I went to the CAD software, designed and printed one. It is very nice and conspicuousness It uses that empty coin hole under steering wheel. It is held in place with 3M double sided tape. All I needed to do was drill two small holes under the coin Compartment and pass the wires, and but two heavy duty switches from Radio Shack.

It is all printed. In this case blue base and yellow fonts. I can adjust the text and colors. On this example, S stands for Spot and B Stands for Bar.

I just wanted to see if there is any interest here for me to offer it for sale. If so how much you would pay for me?

I am not competing. I simply came up with my own solution. It is a personal taste, but I think mine is more outstanding from the sea of black switches. I can customize this in a million ways. But I understand that there are solutions. I appreciate you sharing it with me.

Maybe not print it in blue and yellow? Kinda looks like a lego piece glued on there or something. But good job designing it and printing quality looks good. What kind of printer you have? Heated bed? ABS or PLA

It is a custom printer, used other printers to build it. It is PLA 200C nozzle, 50C Bed.
    Thanks

I'd also suggest making it wider to completely cover the top section, it would look more finished.

I think you have a cool idea with potential, but not necessarily for that product.

Most use buttons, not toggle switches, so already a limited market - and most prefer OEM looking or at least similar appearance.

I can see some custom shit selling pretty good though, just maybe not this as much.

Nice and clean design, anyway. Not something some "get" with their 3D stuff. Cool to see someone be different for the sake of being different too.

Did you print the small boots for the switches too?

No it comes with Radio Shack toggles. I matched the print color to it. it blends.

If I had a 3d printer and the know how I would reprint that whole section with a flat upper portion (no hole) and the holes for all the factory switches on it.. then have multiple precut holes that buyers could punch out to insert their own OE style switches.. I think that would sell like no other, keeping the factory look with a twist

It looks out of place. Obviously the color is throwing that off. The size, the font, and the placement i think is enough draw away potential customers. It looks like a "nos" button from fast and the furious.

I think creating a plate that either fits over the cubby hole or a plate that fits the top section above the oem switches would look cleaner. I think its fair to say, everyone wants something that looks more oem than aftermarket.

Hope this doesnt come off as bashing. Youre much more talented and smarter than me, im sure of it. I wouodnt know the first thing about creating/printing this stuff.
