If we're putting requests in... I'd love to see a CB mount that hangs on the back of the center console. It could slide into the rear cupholders as a mount so I wouldn't have to drill. Was contemplating picking up a 3D printer, but then realized in addition to that I'd be having to learn and pickup some kind of CAD software. Decided it's probably cheaper to pay someone else to make it LOL.

Not really. ABS is a bitch to print and the enclosure helps keep the part from warping if it cools off too fast.

An enclosure is super helpful when printing abs but be careful that your electronics don’t get too hot. I melted the heated bed connector last night and almost burnt down the shed.

I just bought a Creality Ender 3 a few days ago. It's entry level (picked up from Woot for about $160), but with a few inexpensive upgrades it's a solid beginner printer with a decent size print volume (220x220x250mm). I won't be able to use it until I get back home, but I hope to make some parts for my 3rd Gen one day.

    stuff and things...
does anyone have a file of the side markers for the inside of a third gen headlight? I want to make a custom one, but not sure how to design it from the ground up without taking my headlight apart for measurements first.

I wonder if easiest path forward for you would be to dismantle and do simplified 3D scan. Or maybe easier for someone to model from scratch, just outside of what I would try to accomplish from scratch.

Anyone know where to get a free 3dMax or similar 3d model files of the Tacomas 2nd Gen and 3rd Gen?

I've seen a handful of RC-car sized STLs of Tacomas on Thingiverse. Dunno if that will help you or not.

I disagree. I think for members here the $150-200 ender 3 to pro v2 will be fine. From what I've seen over the last few weeks is most on here can tinker. If you can tinker on a taco, you can do the same on a hobby printer. Ender needs very little tinkering then runs flawlessly. IMO ender is best bang for your buck. Myself and other engineers I work with all enjoy ours. Thingiverse/cura and tinkercad are great resources. Fun affordable hobby.

Printers have came along way in both price and quality since that post a few years ago. Enders are definitely a good bang for the buck and fun to tinker with:thumbsup:
