3D Printed USB Switch Blank

I have an aftermarket stereo in my Taco and until recently I had the cord coming through one of the holes for the switch blanks. I decided to make something that would look a little nicer, and that would allow me to use my USB-C cable for my phone. Currently it's just a prototype, but I'm working on making it with a nicer finish and using black plastic instead of spray painting it black. I might also try making a regular USB male to female option.

Nice work. I bought a usb connector of Ebay for 12 bucks and cut the blank to fit. It hooks right in to my Apple CarPlay

For automotive, I strongly suggest A sockets over C, just because they're more robust. You can then use an A-to-C cable from there to the phone.

Fast charging is actually not good for your battery.

 

But it's fast.
