Some more side profile shots for those who want to see what 285s look like on stock suspension.

One of your DCSB cousins here, how much does it rub if at all? I know when I got my 265/75R16s, it didn't look like I had much extra room when turning (maybe 1/2-3/4"). 285s look great but I didn't think they would fit without some massaging plastic or such. Making me think of a new size the next time I need tires....

I’ve cut a bit of the lower fenders and CMC. Still have a little rubbing full lock when off-road. I don’t have flares as a 2.7 guy, so you 3.5 guys will have to cut more/sooner.

Looks great! Can you send a pic of your cut inside fenders? I’m doing a cab mount chop this week and may have to cut my plastic fenders as well. I’m running FN Wheels 5 stars. I have a 2.7 with 2 inches of lift, my wheels are negative offset quiet a bit so they rub pretty bad. Hard to get out of parking or doing U turns.

All I cut fender wise was the bottom rounded section where the fender liners connect and run parallel with the ground. The rest of my rubbing was on the cab mount and pinch weld. I did CMC, but still need to beat pinch weld in.

Looks good man! What size tires?

    285/75r16

wheels are negative -23 offset btw

yeah I got the plates to trace and cut the cab mount and then you weld the plates on. My friend and I are going to do it soon. I’m going to hammer the pinch weld no matter what. I think if I ever compress the front end or hit a bump turning it may hit the weld.

285s? They look super small compared to mine, maybe it’s the lift idk.

Regardless, a lift doesn’t clear bigger tires unless highway driving is all you care about. You’ll still rub hard with speed bumps, potholes, etc. That’s how I fit STT Pros 285 with no lifting - cutting. Solid alignment too.

I also pushed my fender liners in with a heat gun just FYI. I didn’t rub much on fenders because we don’t have flares like the V6 guys do.

yup they’re toyo at 2s. I also have different upper control arms to help out with clearance and alignment.

All I can offer is start hacking your truck then lol. I have little rubbing with no lift, no aftermarket UCAs, etc.

You should be good to go after cmc and pinchweld!

How’d wiring those fogs go? Next on my list

I got the Rigid kit. It’s simple, just wire it to the battery. It’s literally plug and play. For the mounting , you have to drill 4 holes to use hardware but it’s cake. The plates provide the template for you. You gotta get under the truck to put the led cubes through but it’s all really easy. They’re very bright , people flick me off and go nuts at night . They are supposedly rated street legal since they’re diffused according to the website.

Bump! This week I grabbed (and mounted) some black Ray10s. They didn’t look bad by any means, but made me appreciate how great the gunmetal with black bolts looks on my truck so I changed it back.

Once I can get back to work my next buy is 16" F5s in either bronze or gunmetal. Great thread!
