So me of those guys were sending what was a 15ft single jump into a 30+ft - down hill directly into a 90degree turn jump. I know a kid who stopped 2 laps in cause he sent it just a little to hard. :bikewhoops:

Today, someone put their bicycle on my bus's front bike rack. Then everyone got off and no one came for their bicycle. free bike!

I was all ready to join you guys, but I'm not sure these old bones can do all that stadium series stuff.

Actually, meant for a question: the AMA membership? It's just the regular membership, right? So being a Life Member such as myself (cough, cough) wouldn't have to pay that fee?

Man, that looks insanely fun! I could definitely see myself doing that. When is the next race? Might have to come out and watch.

Not sure what you mean by stadium series, generally any jump can be bypassed for a longer route (see tiffanys comment in video). If you have an AMA membership and can prove that I don’t see why you’d have to pay for another one.
I thought so too hah. Here’s the link to the upcoming races this season. It’s a good time, I think there’s a $10 entrance fee for each adult.

Supercross Stadium Series. I was being sarcastic. Apparently it didn't work.

Will be looking at China bike tomorrow.

Theresa may need some convincing. She is definitely not on-board for this

Tiffany and her seem to have a good relationship. Has she ridden before?
If not the CRF125FB is like one of the most perfect starter bikes ever and I love getting new people onto bikes… one of my weird life goals is to be a MSF instructor one day.

    So many answers....

Theresa is the polar opposite of me. So up until we got married I had always had a street bike. I think I had a street bike before a car. Anyway, she had expressed some interest in at least being a passenger with me. I got back from Iraq and purchased a Kawasaki Concours 14. Granted, the bike is awesome even without her being a passenger, but after all that she decided she was too scared to ride with me. She won't even be a passenger in a car with me driving. And it's not like I drive like a crazy person. So what I'm getting at is that there is no way in hell she'll purchase her own bike. Ever.

And this is why I'm somewhat envious of what you and Chris have. Tiff and Shannon surprise the crap out of me with their lack of fear and adventurousness. Oh and Tiff bypassing that jump in the video had me rolling.

I was an MSF instructor for a while. I loved it at first, but then it just became annoying. In my mind it might be worse now because the MSF courses are more businesses now. I wasn't getting paid when I did it and actually had to come out of pocket for the instructor's course. Then they had a bad shortage of instructors and I sacrificed a ton of time covering. Not to mention that some of the assistant instructors they were sending me were questionable. I can't recall any of them having any more than a couple of years riding experience. And a bunch of them had already wiped out in some very avoidable scenarios. Most of them were fine, it just didn't instill a lot of confidence in me or the students. And it also ran me ragged trying to make sure they weren't imparting any bad info. Hopefully, some things have changed. Only thing I'm aware that's changed is the cost of the course has quadrupled since I was involved.

All in all the MSF thing is awesome. I was always amazed that people who had never even swung a leg over were riding by the end of the weekend. I just wanted to drop some knowledge on you so you were in full awareness mode when starting that journey. I felt horrible about getting away from it, but the fun had been sucked out of it.

So if I purchase this basher bike it's probably going to have to be a surprise to Theresa. It's the way I've made most of my big purchases. She's just come to accept it. I'm the worst husband ever!

I’ll be keeping to the dual sport. I still think it’s the best of both worlds (street and trail). With a set winner at neither one.

I guess I'll drive the parts truck / chase vehicle. I think I'd break those little bikes. If I rode them...

For sure. If I stumble on a good deal on a dual sport I'll jump.
