Rite rite. Naw, Yous all good. I have found the same issue with anyone out there that's making an aftermarket part for anything over the years, jeep related of not. damn joke I tell yea. Kinda why I've been sourcing my own parts to make/build something I see.

ARB.. The only thing I have from them is the fridge, slide and cover for said fridge. Oh yeah, The extended harness for the 12v. outlet. all parts were self explanatory but did come with instruction that were pretty good.

JKS.. I have their builder end link set. Instructions were ok. They are on the rear axle of the heep and been working fine since install.

MK.. I have nothing from them, but the old school fix for spring dislocation, was too use the old screw type hose clamps (clamp around the spring and to the base or top of the spring retainer. cheep and ugly, but effective. Not using any on my end currently.

The tire carrier issue is striking an interest in me and wanna see more.

I will say, that for the most part, ARB parts seem pretty well-made. I wanna say this was the first time I've experienced instructions from them. This kit provides spacers for four points. They provide like eight 6mm spacers and three 5mm spacers. Because that makes sense. Let me take a look at the instructions. It doesn't even describe the denominations I received. And one of the sentences is: "Place three 10mm spacers together to equal 20mm." Huh? Right now I'm dealing with the possibility that some of it is wrong.

Construction on the JKS endlinks are fine. It's just lazy design. Not adjustable on the vehicle, which is kind of a no-no on endlinks. The bushings look to be cheap plastic, but are described as polyurethane I think. Like I said, I could eat my words on those. Their coilspring retention deals were just plain dumb. That was my final straw. I wouldn't even have bought them if AEV had supplied new ones instead of the idiotic brackets their lift kit comes with.

Metalcloak I can take or leave. The evap relocation was my first piece from them. I've bought more (obviously), and I feel a little better about them. If only their installation instructions were better. They even have videos for some of the parts and they're just as bad.

I have no issues building/creating something, but my OCD will usually override any ghetto fixes.

The tire carrier is hefty. They got that part covered. And for the most part I'm happy with it. The problem is the method of adjustment. It's basically two tubes slid into each other with a pinch bolt to secure it. On one end of the tube is the actual tire mount. They say to have the sidewall of the tire pressed against the tailgate hinge--to even have the sidewall bulge a little. So you get everything set up. You crank down the pinch bolt until you're red in the face. Then you install the tire and the lug nuts. For once in your life you even use a torque wrench for the lug nuts. Torque value suggested by them. And by doing this, the tire presses against the hinge and slides the tubes apart. Make sense? I've even put the lug nuts on by hand at a much lower torque value and it still does this.

Rite. With out looking it up.. Which carrier do you have? Does in not reuse the original tire bumpers on the tailgate?

No! Even those things have foam soles now. I have to spend a couple hundred bucks to get a shoe that has a solid rubber sole. Every industry is riding this Covid wave of removing any form of quality from products.

I finally got a new chainsaw. MS261 CM.

Apparently this thing detects altitude and adjusts fuel automatically.

What's the old formula 1 saying "if you arent cheating, you arent trying hard enough" or some such shit lol. But yeah, a friend of mine has the same saw and he uses it all the time around his property.

I've seen it being run and it's a really nice saw. Apparently they are desirable for that feature and a bunch of other things, like low emissions, weight, and fuel usage. And the fact that it's a proffesional series saw

Oh, @crashdb, did you ever figure out what was going on with the bolt/ captive nut system on your saw? If you do, could you provide some insight on what was going on with it?

Also, on a different note, from the fb.
