At least you are at it again!!

Sunday has been a major milestone for Nora, she's been going potty in the toilet and has been diaper free all day so far, just one accident!

So I knew my day of productive garage chores was over before 8:30am this morning. Totally worth it if she can keep up her enthusiasm and we can keep up the 15-25min potty break intervals up into the school week ahead:fingerscrossed::fingerscrossed:

Wish I could potty in the toilet.

So elaboration. So far: I started off by breaking an ABS wheel sensor that was hermetically sealed to the hub. Can you work around it? Doesn't really look like it with the tools I have here. So a new unit bearing it is. Off to Auto Zone. And to Harbor Freight. Why Harbor Freight? Because I can't separate the hub from the axle and somehow I've made it thus far in life without a hub/bearing/slide hammer contraption. Did I also mention the 12 point bolts that hold the hub to the bearing? I thought that was going to be the worst fight. Nope. Get what I need from the Harbor and head to Auto Zone. I already know what I need. Looked it up and stuff. I walk inside and the line is almost out the door. Not even exaggerating. I wait. Everyone must be lonely today because they all want to have lengthy conversations. The other half don't know what they're doing and are trying to get Auto Zone to diagnose their problems. Mechanical and mental. Finally, I get up to the counter! I show dude what I need, he punches some buttons and disappears. Comes back. I pay for my shit and walk out. I get into the longest pick-up on Earth and start looking at the box. Something ain't right. I look at my receipt. I look at the box. Dude pulled the lower-tier part and not the one I paid for. Awesome. Back inside. Line is still bad. Real bad. I wait. There's more to this, but I will surely sound like a piece of crap if I continue with this part.

Back home. Set up the hub press. Right off. Oh lordie. Are we on our way to success? Not even. Fortunately I have replacements for the drag link and tie rod so I can beat the crap out of them to get them separated from the knuckle.

Get my ball joint press out and start screwing with the attachments and nothing will work to press at least one of them out. Perfect.

So now I'm on the hunt to find a ball joint press and/or attachments that will work. I don't think I'm even going to get one side done today.

Don't forget you likely can rent one from auto zone/advanced auto/O'Reilly's

And yes this comment is just what you wanted/need to turn the corner and get at least one done:cool:

I own pretty much what they rent. It's an adapter issue. I was able to tweak and get them out. Let's hope getting the new ones in is way easier.

Every day owning a Jeep is a blessing! That's what I keep telling myself as I scheme on how to unload this to some bro.

Totally me, Katelyn broke down laughing and said I should reference this when I'm doing anything outside of greasing zerks and oil changes on the Taco!!!!

In the process of ordering the Elka misalignment spacers, including a set for the top of each coilover and the rear two lower mounts...awaiting the purchase link from the US service dealer, I will remain hopeful that they arrive before the weekend!

Kinda like my super reading replies to emails from me….. He is not sure what frame of mind I’m in, ie: neutral, pissed or don’t really care. He has said a time or two that he will reread my reply several times to try and get a feel for what kinda attitude I may have had. Haha.
