Thank you sir! The weld cracked on the tall and narrow 17 gallon tank and I’ve read others having the same issue with off-road use.

I’m not excited about making a new gas tank mount and straps

 

Thought about rubber mounts for it?

 

Yes I have. I was planning on laying a piece of rubber under the tank. Any thoughts?

 

Buy a horse stall mat and cut the bitch to size.

 

You wouldn’t believe what is laying all over the floor in my horse stalls. The stuffs a bit thick but just might work. Good thinking

 

So I bought an air net style tailgate off Amazon for under 20 bucks. I cut it up and made a pouch to hold a muddy tow rope on my tailgate. The coolest part was the merch I got with it! Who else has bought something “Rolling Big Power” or other inspirational brand? And fair warning, this sticker is going to end up on someone’s truck next meet up.

I would isolate the mounting hardware with rubber as well.

I’ll see what I can come up with today.

 

New fuel cell is in and isolated, top and bottom, with a rubber horse stall mat. I gutted a factory fuel level sender to remove the chip and swap it with the gm chip all the fuel cells seem to come with. I had the sender working well outside of the tank but now that it’s installed it reads full. So at some point I need to take it back apart and make sure the positive is isolated.

 

Why do you need a fuel level sender? Doesnt your pit crew fill it up every 3 or so laps?
