I really like the 4runner but like the FJ more. Not for any legitimate reason, just preference.

I do too, but the prices for the 2010-2014 FJ are close to what a much newer 4Runner would be. When I started this adventure everything I read said to bypass any of them before 2010. Anyway, after comparing prices between the two (and they're identical underneath) and going to look at some and seeing the amount of rust, I went with no.

I don't trust any part on a vehicle that is sealed and says unserviceable and has "lifetime" fluid. Theresa's Passat supposedly had lifetime fluid in the transmission. It started acting weird, so I did a service on it and it was back to normal and lasted another 100k miles.

That's a horrible idea. What time?
They do that on some of the stuff. My brothers F150 had a sensor go bad inside the steering rack. Replacement was the only dealership option. He lived with it till he traded it in.

Since you have the Matrix as your DD, why not get an older Jeep or Toyota as a dedicated trail rig? Then you just need a used Chevy land yacht to tow it. Oh wait...

    Knew I screwed up somewhere....

The problem with an older anything is stuff breaking all the time.

I looked for a 2013-2015 Tacoma online and didn't see much of anything worth the price.

Would you do a Tacoma again if it were in that range? Been there done that? I know the maintenance on an older rig isn't what you want, but why not something older to get you through what going on? When this clears up get what you really want, like the 4runner? At least you'd have the ability/ freedom to get out when you want to.

Tell me to mind my own business. I won't won't cry for very long. And my feelings won't be hurt forever. :D

Kid playset, 32x30 total footprint (6’ added to each side of the 26x22 playset size). I’ve tried tapering the high (photo left side) so it’s not so steep. Shame I know…since I have to take vacation to play!
I just need another 40+ acres to do the adult equivalent!

3 dump trucks of fill, they do it by tons, so each quad dump truck held 18.5 tons of fill!

You're fine. I could maybe see a 13-15 Tacoma if it were low mileage and an off-road. Just did a quick Craigslist search and there were two that mildly interested me. And they weren't even off roads.

Might have gone a little overboard on this radiator. I think it’s too thick to fit CD58BC1A-CE1E-4B18-99B0-6C3E57FCECD2.jpg

Oh no it’s not, it’s definitely the ending for me. I forgot how much this stuff sucks.
