It's making the drive home lots of fun, and we haven't gotten to best part yet, the PA Turnpike.

We actually got off it and went down MD 51 to Cumberland and 68. Road sign said "major incident MM 157. Expect Delays" Nope, had enough of those already.

Then Gwen found an alternate route to shave some time off. Turned out I'd was part of Rt 9 I call fighter pilot alley. Ups and downs and twists and turns. Only thing missing is a 3G inverted loop. Should've stayed on the bigger roads.

This was a nice distraction and sense of accomplishment after the last couple weeks. Building a split-level sub-deck under the overhead deck to house a shed to get some yard equipment and tools out of the garage. There will also be a covered seating area for those rainy days when you still want to be outside. And possibly a dog house for a certain spoiled pup. The garage is going to a wood shop as I'm getting some of dad's larger wood working equipment.

All I did was remind myself why I don't want another VW product by doing brakes on my friends Audi.

I avoid that stress altogether by not doing brakes anymore.

I most certainly will not be doing these brakes again. It was a total cluster from the minute I pulled the tire.

I've wanted to do this since we started talking about replacing the old deck. And using the old material is saving me a bunch of money. It's going to be nice to have a shaded area this summer and a garage I can actually work in.

Well Dave, this weather got me bored and creative so I whipped this up with some left over steel.
