Ha! Nice try. There’s a lot in common between Land Rover, Jaguar, Aston Martin and on an extreme side TVR, and it’s not solid build quality.

 

But some of them have BMW engines. It's like a virus. It starts in the engine and bleeds over.

 

Some of the newer Aston’s have Mercedes engines

LR did come out with the original drop bumper step.



And the engine is an old GM (Buick) 215 v8 if I recall correctly (foggy memory), GM couldn’t make it work in the 60’s, so LR bought the rights to it. And that is what’s in that there puppy. Aluminum block, steel sleeved piston walls. The transmission and t-case were right on though. The axels have the drop out third member (hogs head) like Toyota, and the ford 9 inch.

The tacoma is at the body shop again. Wifey got in a accident yesterday on the way to work (Shes fine). I think she either hates me or the truck, cause she backed it into the kids car on dad’s day, too. Ripped off the kids bumper cover. Fixed that already.

I need to start drinking heavily or something else.

Glad everyone’s ok, that’s all that matters. Rubbing is racing, so maybe your wifey is just a bit competitive.

 

Doubt that, but that’s how I’m looking at it. She my not have one the race, but she did keep another from doing so as well.
