I’m guessing that’s why you ultimately decided against an 80 series? Driving an older car definitely adds another element to worry about.

It was definitely a deciding factor for a Land Cruiser or Defender.

Is there a rest area shortly after the exit off I-81 for Chrisland?

There are Loves Travel and Pilot truck stops about 10 miles south of Staunton. Might be a good place as well. Gas, food, etc... You and Mark could meet around 81 / 66 and head down from there. As it stands now, we'll already be in TN, although I might switch weekends and cruise down with you guys.

 

Man. I haven't been to a Love's in ages. Maybe it's time to observe the OTR life.

Like you the list is long. I want to move my rear frame up 5/6 inches, move my link mounts up, build new front bumper, get winch installed, redo my fuel tank situation, new tires, and install one of those little tree air fresheners

 

Do you need help with the air freshener install? I'm certified.

 

I figured everyone could meet us there too. Then we can convoy and provide moral support for the expected breakdowns.
