That's a horrible idea. What time?
We'll have to go back and try.

And I may not have a schedule to keep. And maybe clearing some views on that new lot!

So yesterday I went to look at a used Audi S3. Low-ish miles, pretty well-equipped. More than likely a lease turn-in. I battle traffic to get to Rockville. Dude brings the car around and I'm thinking I'll be buying a car soon. He walks me around and points out two pretty nasty curb rashes on wheels, says they're going to be repaired. Sure, my guy. I open the car door and am immediately hit with the smell of smoke. I'm like nah. I tell dude that I'm not even interested in driving it. He tries to suck me back in, "they'll put a bomb in it to get rid of the odor." Sure, for a few days. I know how hard it is to get rid of the odor. I'm also thinking to myself: why wasn't ANY of this done to prepare the car for sale? Don't make me promises that you have no intention of keeping. Then I notice the dealer upsells added to the price. Some kind of Low-Jack system for $500 and some other kind of "protection" thing for the car. Doesn't describe what it is, and the company website doesn't either. That's $700. I want neither. I'm turned off and leave.

Sales manager texts me on the way home. Tells me about a brand new S3, and they're offering $8500 off MSRP. Damn good price, but I sense shenanigans. Only one way to find out...

Will dealerships ever realize that all of this stuff will eventually kill the business? I don't think so either. On both accounts.

    /rant

I already did. It's in my pocket. Speaking of which, I owe you some change.

Did you ever tell the Airbnb owner about the weeping kitchen floor?
