3rd Annual 2018 Christmas Tree Build

Got my truck done today, grabbing the tree in a day or two, already picked it out!

So what you are saying is I need to add a wreath to the front of my truck too....

Went and picked out which one on the morning walk, will cut after Lunch and post a pic, then hopefully decorated by night! Then we are doing another for our business and I will post some pics of that too. Work tree won't be until next Tuesday probably.

 

At a little bit of an angle, but the back side doesn't have much for branches so with the weight it stays better. Time to decorate! And maybe trim the tip for the star so it doesn't ram through the roof.

We had a tip over, luckily before anything was really hung and nothing broke. I tied the tree with a thule strap from the back so it won't tip anymore. Then my wife has some new lights and we ended up having the plugs messed up when it all came time to turn it on...that caused a delay. But we are finally finishing up, I think we might be done, but I'm pushing for some tinsel!

Pretty similar, the stuff I grew up with was more of a rope of it, about as thick as a movie theater divider rope. Same color and same idea though as the picture you posted. Just wrap it around the tree instead of hanging it like an ornament

Not sure to be honest how big, but it's over 10. I think 12-14, I can measure later today. They are all from my property so we cut the tree where we need to, to make it the general size we want. With the big a-framed roof where I am now, we figure why not push the limits before we move to a smaller place in the spring. Was talking to the wife about planting a couple dozen at the new place.
