They don't dig that deep into the tires. If you show up in a Tacoma with normal tires one way or another you're good. I went with stock size last year and wasn't a problem.

On a 16" rim it needs to be 235 or wider and taller than a 65 aspect ratio. So both a 255/85 or a stock 265/70 are just fine.

The people on the Provincetown dune driving FB group are up in arms, but are expecting it to open in a week or two.

Yeah we had the same issues up north in Maine, they had signs about putting dogs onto leashes for the plovers.

Whatever. Month and a half away - I'm sure it'll get better by then. That map is also a month and a half old.

I will probably make it only a day trip - Saturday the day most of y’all will be on the beach? I’ll just get out there Saturday AM and head home PM.

Access is looking better! Glad the hurricane hit Long Island. Nothing of value there.

    Too many to list.
So something came up at work and I have to work the 11th which means I won't be there until 11th late evening. I had planned 10-12th :(

I’m kindly asking that you not do that. You need a license to properly use the radio and it’s easy to get. At the very least, please follow the band allocation so that you’re not transmitting over a repeater when on simplex.

    Thanks

    Really looking forward to this.

Also, if anyone needs to borrow it, I do have a spare gmrs radio that shouldnt ruffle any feathers.

    Still illegal without a license.

But so is going 31 in a 30, there are worse things that are happening - likely on that beach at the very time we'll be there, than a bunch of hillbillys in trucks using a radio improperly. Can also get a handheld FRS which wouldn't be illegal and would do well enough.

I lied - that one might be legal.

FRS and GMRS use the same frequencies. GMRS has more power on the same bands. FRS does not need a license. GMRS does need a license (no test, only a fee). Those appear to be FRS so should be all set to use without a license.
