    ^^I second that.

A few rules though. Don't put old gas in it. Don't leave fuel in it for more than a month. Don't leave it outside. And don't let the chain hit the dirt. oh....and be safe.

@mwc273 I was going to mention it when we were there....but forgot. Your saw sounds lean. Have you ran it on a Tac to make sure you're not too lean? Would hate to see you fry your jug.

Is that really $8 a quart? I've run TruFuel but it gets expensive fast....I've been trying to find a non-ethanol fuel close to me but they're all pretty far and I always forget to bring a can when I'm close.

We have one place you can buy "recreational fuel" that I know of. Here in Huntington where I work. Price is about the same as regular pump gas, but no ethanol. We bought some for our generators for outages to keep the servers/switches powered.

Yea, I check that site every few months to see if any new stations are added. Unfortunately the closest is a 40 min round trip drive.

@dirty deeds Definitely buy that and run it in any of your small engines. Your cylinders will thank you.

I need to buy a case for mine. That's why I didn't bring it because I didn't want it in the rain. I've got a husq rancher 455, 20" bar. Would have helped with the bigger shit

Well, I already have @ 10 of the 20v dewalt batteries. Which means I already have the power, and it's small and easy to pack. No need to run to the store for gas or mix or worry about whether or not it will start.
Yes, I get that a bad ass Stihl is gonna do a hell of a lot more, but I won't use it enough to justify the extra expense or the larger size. If I had a fireplace at the house, I would already have a Stihl.

But could those electric saws drop a standing dead oak tree big enough for a blazing fire all weekend? :sawzall:

btw, there was an article I read a while back. Tested the Dewalt 60v vs gas and the Dewalt won. But, I don't have any of the 60v stuff, plus cost vs need and I'm back to the small 20v

Way too many variables to make an even comparison....
Cutter Type - low profile, semi chisel, full chisel, square cut
Chain type - full skip, semi skip, standard
    RPM of saw
    Length of bar
    # of teeth on sprocket

...unless they weighted it on more than just speed alone. Like convenience. Who knows....

One thing's for certain. Gas, 20v, 40v, 60v, are all better than @dirty deeds with his bone saw. :boink:

I didn't try very hard. Always works out best that way. And it also sucks at cutting that super soaked wood we had. Should also think about changing the blade since it's a cheap Harbor Freight saw.

You know what works even better? Laying down in the drivers seat while you all use your saws to clear the trails.
