We haven't been there since April. I'm sure it's grown in quite a bit.

Go to last year's spot, likely little to no stripes. New spot, probably yes.

Afraid of some scratches, don't go off pavement :)

This isn't an Overland Bound meet  you will most very likely need to wash and wax your trucks afterward.

I don't mind scratches. He's camping out of his work truck and riding along. If he comes. LOL

It was a general statement, not really directed at any one person in particular.

Why would he camp in a truck?! That's asking for swamp ass!

After mapping out my route there, I'm probably going to arrive at the gas station between 3-4pm Thursday. I'm also going to try and get some video this trip, got an old GoPro Hero 2 that's been collecting dust, we'll see how it does.

Higher Priority activities will have me occupied until late Saturday afternoon, I knew this might happen which is why I was a "maybe" lol.

So I'll need to explore that area and meat everyone another time I guess.

@dirty deeds Victoria just picked up a large box with what we assume is a roof rack. Could just be a box-o-rocks for all I really know, but should be able to get it to you tomorrow.

Not seen one of those in person.
Thought about getting one, then realized how impractical it is. Unload the bed, all of it! Set up tent.
Oh, it's time to go wheel?! Hold on guys, I gotta take my tent down.
Oh, it's time for bed?! Gotta set my tent up again.

Yea, I just figured it wasn't practical for driving on trails. In his case, should be just fine. Like to see one and how much room it might give, though. Hard being tall and wanting a good size tent without breaking the bank or being a 30lb canvas wall tent.

It isn't that bad. He has a plywood platform in the back. Tent on top of that, storage underneath. When he needs to leave camp for something, just drops the 2 poles and lays the tonneau cover down, done.

My habitat is a bit more of a production, but it's all about what you want to do. I don't want to pound stakes every day and want the ability to camp anywhere anyday pretty easily. ground tent or trailer is definitely best for basecamp, vehicle based sleep platforms are better for different location everyday type trips.
