    Hi,
Does anyone happen to know the part number for the o-ring that goes under the 3rd brake light lense? I went to replace the bulbs and the old o-ring fell apart into multiple pieces.

I tried google-ing and everything kept pointing me toward a foam piece, which is NOT what this thing is.

    Thanks,
    Kyle

All my replacements had the “foam “ gaskets

Oh, the old one was more like an o-ring that sits inside a groove. Hence, why I was like, "no, that's not what I'm looking for." Okay, any recommendations on which foam replacement to get?

All of my info shows it as an assembly and getting the o-ring separate isn't possible.

You can try and measure the o-ring that's in there and order some o-ring cord and make your own with something comparable to this: https://www.amazon.com/Actual-Buna-N-Durometer-Thickness-10/dp/B00QVB68QW?crid=1P7KI4J92TBZ0&keywords=rubber+o+ring+material&qid=1657241517&sprefix=rubber+o+ring+material%2Caps%2C77&sr=8-3

To connect the ends a little super glue will work. I made many custom o-rings at my last job using this method.

Maybe aftermarket high brake light assembly. All of the factory brake lights are glued and sealed in place as far as I know.

I think that's my best option at this point. Just make my own, or try to re-attach what I currently have.

I don't think this is aftermarket, because you take the lens off and there's 3x 914 bulbs. Which seems like a factory thing, they're gonna do the cheapest thing possible. But what do I know, this truck has had a few owners before me. So someone might have been in there before me an monkey-d with it prior.
