I don't like the way it looks, but if that is going to stop the water leak, trim ring it is.

If it keeps the inside dry I'll take it.

Agreed. I rather have that ring installed than removing the head liner. I just don't trust the dealer to do it right.

Dealer did my headliner previously. Not the best work so I can understand your thinking.

Sure enough I'm part of it as well. Still never been a part of any other recall apart from the frame. Not even the fuel pump.

Did you get a new fan motor though the campaign they had?

No. If you're talking for the AC condenser, I don't believe that was available in my area anyway.

I have my own part on order. Dealer said would be a month before they can inspect and maybe longer if they have to order the part. They thought I might be able to get Toyota to reimburse for the part. Anyone have any luck with that?

I’m not a fan of how it looks but as you say if it keeps the leak away. I’m not too keen on them pulling the headliner anyway. This would be a pretty quick and easy fix for sure, like a stepped up silicone bead.

No, it was the blower in the glove box.

Might want to check on the toyota owners site and see if it applies to you. I can't remember the specifics, but it hit my 17. I also got the frame and this light. That's all, no fuel pumps or anything else.

I just checked and the brake light is the only thing shown.

You're good then. I just checked my service history and I had the blower done in September of '18 so it's been awhile. If you bought used it may have been done previously.

I purchased it certified used but there was no record of it being done. I'm actually wasn't even aware of that being an issue before today. What was the issue?

Mine had the blower motor done and now is part of this. Other than that, zero issues.

In the most manliness of ways I need to say: "I love you guys!" I was quoted $980 buck to replace the light..nevermind the stained headliner.

That you very much for sharing.
