When are you planning to have you're garage done? We could christen it with a keg and a mod day.

I like the way this guy thinks!

I also can't remember who else had that messed up rear diff skid - was it you? Either way, JLee is being VERY gracious and is offering to get it fixed for me (I knew he would :p). Shoot him a PM, he'll take care of you.

If it's not you, whoever that was hit up JLee if you want him to fix yo skid!

Have you projected your costs yet? I want to prep my back yard for one next year. I have to remove trees and level everything out.

What happened to your skid? I must have missed it.

That would be bad ass. If you throw some coin my way ill do it. :D

Im having the inspector/contractor come out tomorrow morning to do the costs. A standard 2 car with a slab pour is around 15,000 though

Well there were a total of 3 rear diff skids @ mod day - 1 looked like a piece of art, while the others looked like they fell off a truck and bounced a few times...

Weld beads didn't line up, were porous... wasn't really cleaned up very well - and I would probably overlook all that if the bolts for the pinon guard lined up - but they don't even come close to lining up. I know some guys took a BFH to it, but I'm not sure that will remedy the issue - at least the point I'd have to beat on would be pretty difficult to hit with any accuracy. I think the skid was tested when it was freshly welded, then pulled apart - the welds cooled, and now the bolts don't line up :S.

The vendor is more than taking care of it tho, so I'm definitely happy.

Yeah, we had one at chris' place back when Dark Knight was here. but thats been a year or so i think. Once i get my garage done, ill get some beers and have everyone over to work on stuff if you need it and hang out. Im thinking about maybe putting in a roll up door that leads to the back yard, kinda open it up to more of a social gathering rather than hanging out in the garage. Depends on how much it costs though.

I've seen a few houses with that, it's very cool... Just not sure if the cost is worth it like you said.
