Sure. I've got an open schedule this weekend. Someone bring the hacksaw, I'll bring the bandaids.

Yeah really a hacksaw? That's too slow. I was also thinking more along the lines of a whiz wheel.

On a serious note, thanks everyone for the help. And if I came off as a dick to anyone I apologize cause I know you're just trying to help.

Well if you don't go to a doctor and start to develop a fever, the wound starts to get more red, you get real week and your resting heart rate gets faster.....you might have a serious infection/sepsis.....could potentially be fatal if left long enough......I would say suck it up, go to a doctor, have them clean it and give you a prescription for antibiotics and if you are in the states and have no insurance, pay several hundred dollars. I would say that would be the smart choice. I would rather pay a little out of pocket as opposed to you know.....dying or at the very least making things worse. The single biggest complication with burns and burn management is infection. And seeing as your Dad is a doctor he would tell you the same thing.....or perform the amputation?!

I already did those things. He told me it's actually healing up well and it's not infected. He gave me a prescription..

I had 3rd degree burns on both legs when I was a kid. Spent a couple of months in the hospital. Took five skin graphs to get the healing started. I still suffer from some nerve damage and my left leg has no feeling of the skin surface. If you think you have 3rd degree, (this is skin falling/peeling off, not a popped blister), you need to get to the doctor NOW. Gangrene is a very real possibility, I came within hours of having my left leg amputated. The first four graphs did not take and the infection was getting worse. I went in for the PreOp to have the leg amputated, during the check up the doctor noticed several places the skin was starting to take, he did another graph that day in his office and that was the last one. Took about fourteen months for the skin to completely heal.
