Hey folks, curious if anyone has some documented 3rd Gen 0-60 runs with the 6MT? Seems to be a few videos floating around of the AT, but no MT.

Bonus points if you’re OV tuned :p

Sorry, I don't have a need to "race" my truck. Its a truck. Purpose is to haul shit.

I'm able to accelerate enough on an on-ramp to smoothly merge into traffic.

Don't really care about 0-60 speed. More interested in hauling/towing/work capability.

Consider the speed runs with an MT will be highly dependent on the driver's skill in shifting. I suspect the AT will be quicker with a typical driver. Also, you need to have matching engines, drive trains, tires.......... so many variables to get a 1 up comparison.

Then again, there is always the Butt Dyno and opinions on which is quicker.

Cool, so why are you wasting your time in this thread?

Who said anything about racing? 0-60 times are a simple way to verify/document changes. Some of us enjoy dicking around with VF tuning and other bolt on upgrades such as dump tubes, simply as a hobby.

Do you go take fat dumps in the TT and FI threads as well?

I have a few runs that I posted around the 3rd Gen section. About 8.0sec. My best was 7.2sec using the Torque app.

Very nice! I assume thats running a tune?

All the times Ive seen for the 6AT have been in the 9 and 10 second range. With the 6MT's lower gearing, this makes sense.

Bump. Curious what the delta is between tune vs stock, AT vs MT.
Main point of tune is the driving dynamics AFAIK, but I'd give my MT even odds against a prius. Not a vehicle built for hot nasty speed....

That was actually 04B13 Stock on the stock tires. I did that just before the tune to compare, but never got around to the second test since I need to go quite a distance to find a safe spot.
