More baby steps. Need to fully cycle it, but looks like the panhard mount needs to move back an inch, and upper link needs to move drivers an inch or so. I picked up 4wu shock mounts but will probably end up bending some tube to clear steering/engine bay stuff more easily.

Tube will definitely be easier overall, no steering shaft to mess with. I'm re-doing my front towers maybe next week. Putting in taller towers to bring the truck down a few inches and will be cutting it different so I can run a 1 piece steering shaft vs the current 2 piece.

Just finished re-doing my rear suspension by adding RJ antirock swaybar and changing the lower mount with one that sits an inch lower.

Thanks for the pics, that helps a ton! I’ll be copying you (maybe not double sheer as I have so much other shit to do). Are you running the heim below the steering arm?

That rear setup is so bad ass. I’ve been looking for a full float cruiser rear but they’re hard to find. $1k+ at the junkyard. I’ll probably end up running the stock rear with spacers and leafs.

I had it right under the arm originally but it bind when drooping before maxing out my CO. I end up add a (maybe) half inch spacer between the arm and heim and cycle the suspension with no issue after that.

But after driving it around like that and having discussions with other local 3 link owners regarding the drag not being in the same plane as the track bar, I just move (last week) the drag heim above the steering arm. I don't have any picture of how it currently sit but the drag and track is nearly identical now. I'll snap some pictures later when I go to my mancave.

It's about the same price here. Open ff80 runs about ~800 and locked ff80 are going for ~1200. Picked up one for a buddy last year from a 97 LC9.5 with elock for 1100.

If you're running 12" CO, you should be fine without a space.

Sweet, I’ll use the same pitman arm and run the heim on top of the arm. It does look like it lines up well with the panhard that way to keep them in the same plane.

Yea, I was honestly trying to avoid that. I wanted both heim to be bolted within the double shear. Guess 1 heim above the top shear will be fine, lol.

The flat pitman might be the better option honestly if there's clearance. I end up running an offset heim at the frame for the track bar. If i knew the flat would not contact the frame when I ordered the 3/4" less drop, I would have bought the flat instead.

I end up mounting my steer box flat vs being tilted and low to the bottom of the frame. By doing this, it provide more clearance for the pitman. My buddy's 3 link taco steer box was tilted and he ran the 3/4" less drop. I figure I needed the same one.

Just too expensive to buy the flat for $150+ now for this reason.

But looking at your picture, the flat will bind and you will need to notched the frame.... Buy mine with double shear and I'll buy a flat.... just kidding lol

I haven’t drilled any holes in the frame yet. Are you thinking the best solution is mount the box lower with the flat arm to align it perfectly with the panhard heim? I guess I just need to decide which one the order and then figure out how to make it work.

Edit: I’m on kid duty all day, all I really need to do is get a damn measuring tape on it.

Yes. But looking at your picture, you really don't have much of a choice.

I think the 4r frame is slightly smaller in profile as well?
