I am in the market for a 3rd gen 4x4 sport double cab with a LONG bed
Currently have a 2014 db Short bed and it sucks sense i can't fit anything in the bed i want with out the gate open or my leer cap off/open

I may be bias of the short bed sense i currently have one but can you guy tell me real legit reasons why not to get a DC LONG bed? or some cons

I don't not off road and rock crawl, just some sand beach and gravel roads.
I park in the city some times and parallel parking a long bed maybe my one negative i can think of, other than that the long bed will fit most things i need, yes the extra foot makes a different.

Easy. If you don't off-road, long bed is the only option.

OFF road over Sport? I got the sport due to color match and the little extra the only positive I saw on OFF road if the e locker correct..?

what is the difference for 3gen for offroad vs sport?

    thanks

Does the 6" of bed space warrant a new truck? Your truck is still just a baby.

It's easier and cheaper to add a few color matched things to an off road than a locker to a sport.

I would have an off road if they came in a DCLB for the 2nd generation.

No long bed because you can't get a manual transmission with one.

    6"?

It's slightly over a foot difference...or it was for the 2nd gen.

Get the longbed. You don't off-road so you don't need the locker or the better break over angle that a short box will give you. You need the extra length that a longbox will give you.

    Two reasons
    1. IMO - SB looks better
    2. LB might not fit in your garage (if you have one)

For the last generation it was 60.3" VS 73.5", so 13.2" if you want to be precise.

I don't think the length changed on the newer ones, just the depth.
