    Intro:

I know, I know. This topic has been beaten to death on here- but not quite.

If you've seen my previous post, you'll realize that I'm new to the lifting/leveling/modding world, and am quite dumb.

The short version of my previous post is this: Bought Bilstein 5100's, set the clip at 0, put OME 2886s (in anticipation of getting a C4 hybrid front bumper ~125lbs), picked up taco from shop, horrified at gigantic lift on front, worried about OEM UCAs, etc.

I measured the distance from the 12 o'clock position of the tire to the edge of the wheel well and it was a whopping 9". Before the lift? 5.3".

The ride is horrendously stiff (to be expected since I'm dumb and put 2886s on there). It's bad... like really bad. I hit a pothole and it feels like I'm rolling over an IED outside of Basrah.

Luckily I've only driven about 50 miles on it- so hopefully not too much damage has occurred w/ the suspension.

    ANYHOW. I digress.

The question and why it's sort of unique to my poor person 3rd gen taco:

I'm biting the bullet and taking it back to swap out the 2886s w/ something!

I don't want to go too far over 2" in the front since I wanted to keep factory UCAs for the meantime.

    Here's what's giving me the problem/what I've learned since doing the 2886s.

My taco is lightweight. Like really lightweight. She's a 4cyl, 2wd, access cab. Even w/ the fancy bumper (that's completely unnecessary, I know, just let me live my rock n' roll fantasy) I want in the future, her front end isn't going to weigh a TON.

I'm debating between the OME 2884s, and the OME 2885s. But am freakin torn on which ones to get... The whole install last time was like $650 w/ the alignment, and I don't want to make another expensive mistake. (I don't mind doing most of my own work/maintenance, but the front suspension is something I don't trust myself with).

I've read for quite a few hours and have scoured the threads on here, but everyone has double cabs, 4x4s, etc- however I just have my cheap & scrappy lil' SR5 taco, so I'm not sure what to expect if I add either the 2884s vs 2885s.

If you've read this far, thank you for your time navigating this long-winded and drawn out post!

As always, any input is appreciated- even if it is just to make fun of me, which is also welcome, haha.

P.S. - I am still adding an Icon 1.5" AAL and Bilstein 5100s in the rear. That probably doesn't matter too much in this thread, but figured I'd throw it out there.

I have 885s, 5100s, Icon RTX pack on my access cab. Rides great, not harsh at all. Truck as slight rake.

as ive said in other threads. uca is not "REQUIRED" even up to 3" lift. just wont have desired castor. why is stock coil on top clip not an option? 2884 would probably be an even better option that 2885 for 2" lift. same spring rate but 5mm shorter

Dude not to bring up a dead thread but I have also scoured the forums for almost exactly the questions you’re asking for my little 2wd access cab 2.7. Glad to find this. Did you end up with the 885’s or did the AAL suffice
