I just busted up my stock rear bumper on my 2016 off-road and need a new bumper. Was thinking about going after market but I'm on a budget. Looking for something light ish, compatible with all sensors, durable, and under $1000 Can I please get some educated suggestions on what to go with and why?

Get yourself rear ended... and it'll be WAY cheaper to purchase/wait/install a "more effective steel bumper" vs the OEM plastic LEGO bumper pieces.

You’ll need the factory tow hitch

Here’s some, you’ll have to sort through it, all for 3rd Gen.

    https://bumpersuperstore.com/c-1207664-all-bumpers.html

If you search TW, there’s tons of threads on rear bumpers.

My advice is get one online that’s in stock and free shipping.

Lotta trucks get in head on collisions and the back ends up salvage.

Better yet, all those aftermarket rear bumpers mean there's an OEM bumper unused. PM a few locals who have after market bumpers.

$775 for a bumper (!) Seems like robbery. It's only purpose is to absorb bumps hahhaa.

    Good luck dude.

That RCI steel rear bumper looks badass! Great lines! So If I were to go that route my factory tow hitch would come off with the factory bumper correct? That's probably a stupid question but I haven't really looked at the old bumper in its entirety. It's a little more than I want to spend as well but man it may be worth rolling around with the smashed up bumper to save up a few extra bucks.

What's BSM mean? Back up Sensors?

Yeah, the bumper is separate from the trailer hitch. Both get removed and the new RCI bumper has a built in hidden receiver.

It sucks to lose the BSM, but honestly, it errors so often and is just inconsistent, I don't think I'll miss it. You still keep the back up proximity sensors. No after market bumpers maintain BSM.

    Good luck!

    Stickers gone.
This bumper is easier to install or remove than the stock one that weighs 20 pounds, yes folks the factory bumper is there for no reason other than cosmetics. Body Armor Off Road bumpers are very strong and just over $500 on Ebay.
