Preface: I searched sub forums and didn't find much information before posting this. Apologies if there is already a thread addressing this question. Please just send link if there is and save me the shit storm of comments telling me to search before posting new thread.:)

Okay, long story short my next door neighbor told me that he installed anti sway bars on his Tundra and that it made his truck perform much, much better on the highway. He said that it makes higher speed driving/ ride/ performance a lot better.

My question is, has anyone installed aftermarket anti sway bars on a 3rd Gen Tacoma? If so, how has it affected performance? Also, any pros versus cons (or information on this topic of any kind) would be appreciated.

The sole purpose of anti-sway bars are to reduce body roll during cornering. Thicker anti-sway bars will reduce the amount of body roll over stock but will also reduce the amount of flex your truck has during off roading. That's why some people take theirs off or some manufacturers offer electronic disconnecting anti-sway bars.

Your ride "comfort" won't be affected but your cornering ability will be. Not sure of anyone who makes aftermarket anti-sway bars for tacomas since it's detrimental to off-road performance though.

Roll bars tie the opposite sides of the suspension together creating a sympathetic response from the off-side wheel.
During road handling this will make the vehicle tip less during maneuvering and can result in enhanced tyre contact on the road surface.
The improvement in ride 'quality' is that you will feel as if you are getting thrown side to side less and that the vehicle itself feels less 'tippy'.
As mentioned the downfall of this is that during off-roading this will result in the suspension not reaching full droop or compression while on uneven surfaces.
My last truck had a rear from the factory. I removed it. I bought a Toyota truck, with a manual transmission and the off-road trim, not a Lincoln. Smooth rides are for pu$$ies.

Currie anti rocks are great on jeeps but depending on lift it can hinder flex.
