    Hey everyone. First time posting here so I hope I can make my question clear enough not to get roasted. Ha.

    Ok so I have installed the ARB Summit bar on my 2016 and I pretty much have it wrapped up. Last thing is wiring the turn signals to the original truck's wiring. I am fairly confident in actually making the splices when the time comes I am just not sure where to find the wires to splice.

    ARB's directions are pretty much useless as the marker kit says to see the bumper install instructions for wiring and those instructions say to look on the marker kit's instructions. The only detail it gives is listed below. The look that comes with the kit has three wires.

    Green = Indicator
    Black = Ground
    Red = Clearance

    Pretty sure I can figure out the ground. I assume the green would go into the hot wire on the back of the oem turn signal. My question is for the red. Where would that one go? Clearance meaning what? I have searched the sh*t out of Tacomaworld and the internets and have seen references to older models that have different color wires from what I could gather.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    I was able to find install instructions for the 100 series Land Cruiser Summit Bar and they actually do have wiring instructions included (unlike the 2016 Tacoma). Would it be safe to assume the wiring logic is the same?

    I'm sure you've worked it out by now, but yes, it should be about the same. Identify which wires in the stock harness you need to tap into, then splice into those with the little red jumper clips that come with the ARB kit.

    20% of people probably never even wire up the turn signals in their bumpers because it can be a bit tricky to identify the right wires to tap into. In the old days when a lot of factory bumpers had turn signals built into them, it was simple to disconnect those when taking off the OE bumper, then splice in the new ones. ARB just kept that style going all these years.

    Awesome to log on and see this! I have not figured it out but I finally will have some time this weekend. The above diagram should be exactly what I need. Thanks @fergyz and @Dobinsons Mike for the information.

    I finally got to it today. It was super easy and I have no idea why I was stressing over it. Thank you for the help!

    Would you mind taking pictures and showing which exact wires you tapped into for the clearance/DRL wire, turn signal wire, and ground wire?

    I'm installing my Summit bar this weekend.

    Thank you!

    Also, not sure if you got the ARB fog light kit or not but you may want to check the bulbs. Our factory wiring harness for the fog lights are setup for H11 bulbs. The bulbs that come in the fog light kit (at least the one I received) are HB4 bulbs. I went to autozone and picked up some HB4 connectors and joined them to the factory harness.

    Awesome, thank you so much!

    And thanks for the info on the fogs...I'll be grabbing those connectors later this week. I got some part numbers for the Toyota parts, but it was over $50 for the connectors and that seemed too pricey.

    One more question, I'm a bit confused. Did you buy HB4 connectors? Or did you buy H11 connectors and connected those to the ARB fog light wiring so you could plug into the factory wiring?

    I bought HB4 connectors and installed them in place of the H11 connectors that are on the factory fog light wiring harness. The picture shows the original H11 connector on the bottom and the HB4 connector on top.

    Awesome! Thank you for the picture and explanation.

    Did you ever get a chance to grab a picture of the clearance/signal lamp wiring?

    Thanks!

    No, unfortunately I did not have time to grab any photos prior to leaving town for a quick business trip. I will be back Friday afternoon and I can snap a few pics then. Apologies.

    Well after 8 hours of installation time yesterday, the suspension is done, the bumper is on, and the fog lights are wired. Only things I need to do now are wire up the KC lights and wire up the signals and DRLs in the bumper.

    Yes it is a pain. Ok so below are two pictures that illustrate where to attached the wires to. I don't have the time to pull the wires out but hopefully this helps.

    I spliced additional lengths of wires so that is why they are all black.

    Wires that are white with a black stripe are the grounds.

    For the turn signal. Tap into the colored wire going to the signal (that is the positive) and then tap into the white wire with the black stripe for the ground.

    For the one labeled (clearence) that is the picture with the wire way in the back. That is the side marker (not sure actual term) that is the last connection. Tap that colored wire and then you are done. Nothing is done with that ground.

    Hope that helps
