There should of been a adapter in the kit that has a standard radio antenna plug (banana style plug) on one end, and a rectangle plug on the other end. The banana style goes into the back of the radio, and the other end should plug into the factory harness. I think there was 2 big pins in the plug.

I did not have this in the kit.
I emailed Joying. We'll see if they send it.

I installed this unit the other day, like it much better then stock. But it has a couple of issues

    1. Timezone is off. The GPS is getting a strong signal but it keeps setting to East coat time. I'm in Utah.
    2. Even after setting temperature readout to F, it still show C on the top bar and the weather/time widget

Also what have people found for Launchers/UI? The stock ones are meah.

FYI in case anyone needs them, Code/Passwords for some of the menu settings
    Factory Settings: 3368
    Changing UI: 8086

They sent me a missing cable right away, they are pretty good about it.

1: I manually set my timezone
2: this is just the way it is, the temp is always in c no matter what I do.

Most of the launchers out there have free versions, check those out to find the one you like the best, then you can buy the full version.

After watching this thread for a while I bought the headunit this morning. I have an iPhone, do I need to start a hotspot every time I get in the truck to connect? Looks like android users are able to auto-start their hotspot.

You should not, unless for some reason you keep yours off in settings on the phone. It connects via bluetooth, then switches over to WiFi at least for wireless CarPlay.

I have a iphone 6, I have to turn off and turn on the tethering each time and manually connect so I can listen to pandora on the radio. I think it might be more of a fact that my phone is so old though.

So you keep your iphone hotspot on 24/7? I would think that would reduce my battery life... but may do that if necessary.

I kept seeing people say they were going to make an install video for this unit... but haven’t been able to find said video? Did anyone ever get around to doing this? Currently in the process of installing mine. Yes, I know everything is plug and play but some of us would still benefit from a visual video on where the wires go and all. Thanks! :)

Also have 2 plugs that do not have a matching plug from the OEM harness. Is this normal?

Seriously have no idea where I’m going wrong. Only I would screw something up plug and play - hence why I asked about the instal video. I have all of these wires plugged in and 2 white ones not plugged in and a black plug just chillin’. My head unit won’t even turn on right now with all of these plugged in. :(

This is the best we got.

Yes, there should be 2 plugs left over from the radio.

Is the black plug plugged into the back of the radio?

I’m so dumb... no it wasn’t. Lmao. Now I plugged it in and it’s on now. Thank you for this entire thread and your quick reply! Appreciate it more than you know. I’m a blonde.

Another question (sorry) trying to set up Zlink right now via Bluetooth and when I connect to the zlink via Bluetooth it asks me for a pin? But I do not see a pin anywhere on the setup screen in the Zlink app.

Thanks! And my scosche brackets push the unit out too far where I can’t reattach my trim piece. Does that mean I have to modify the mounting bracket somehow?
