Okay ill give this a shot. I left the gps antenna inside the dash, read about another member doing it and not having any issues. Do you think thats my issue? It shows on those photos I sent that its picking up 5-7 satellites. But on maps it doesnt follow me unless it gets wifi i.e hotspot my phone or the city wifi from cox internet.

Also has anyone figured out the Celsius to fahrenheit change?

I stuffed mine inside the dash for the first year. Then when I wired up some switches overhead I moved it up there.... didnt notice any changes in satellites though.

Which wire do you cut for the grid lines? I’ve got 2 sets on rear view right now. Instructions didn’t state anything

In the vehicle setup area? I never found anything for it. Im not sure if I am just dense or what. I went through it multiple times.

Also in the vehicle setup, I cant turn on or off anything. Like for instance, locks engaging in D vs at a speed.

I've also come to resolve the gps issue, i think under the dash is hindering me, it loses signal alot and jumps all over. I ordered a adapter to use factory one

I dont remember where it is in the settings, but I do remember that nothing in the settings makes sense. I want to say it was in the password protected settings page, but not sure.

As for the vehicle setup part, nothing in there is really working since the headunit is not actually made for our trucks. We are waiting for joying to issue us a real canbus integration for the tacoma... so eventually we will get something.

Im glad you brought that up, what the heck are the passwords? I tried the 8086 and 8083 and some other thats something like 3006. Nothing worked.

Ah, thats slightly annoying. The doors locking as soon as I put it in D drives me nuts. I pull out of the garage to let the lady in and its locked always now.

I do have this one installed in mine and when I was using the one that comes with the radio I was getting 10+, with OEM antenna I usually get 5-9. But it still works fine for me so I haven't had an issue.

I found I couldn't get any of the settings to work on the setup screen of Car Info but I was able to hook my car up to techstream and change things that way.

For Celsius to Fahrenheit, it's in one of the options but can't remember at the moment. I can never remember where each setting is at and end up going through every setting just to find it but it's in there.

This is because none of the settings locations make a damn bit of sense :)

If I'm being honest with myself, I think I would've just used the GPS antenna that comes with the radio. I didn't buy the one you have, I bought the adapter that discountcarstereo makes.

Also for those that are wondering I double checked and my temp display on the instrument cluster still works. And for the C to F option on the radio, I believe it is in Car Settings, Factory (code: 3368), Original Car Agreement; there are a number of things you change there. I had an issue where the virtual AC panel kept coming up and that was where the setting for it was.

Anyone have issues with wireless carplay? Mine cuts out often while listening to music. Also, there is an echo while making calls but only on carplay.

I don’t have those issues with mine. CarPlay works great. Although I still can’t find out where the hell the grid lines removal option is that I went through all the settings I changed that c to f and it didn’t actually change lol. What canbus should we be using? Mines on camry xp

Sorry can't help you with this since I don't use carplay or android auto for that matter. But might be something you can shoot an email to Joying, it seems like they are pretty responsive?

If you have the latest version of the OS (android 10?), check in Settings > Factory (code 3368) > Original Car Agreement. I thought I saw a bunch of stuff related to reverse lines or something like that. I am using Hilux for my vehicle setting/canbus. OCA is also where I changed my temp setting as well but I use the one on my cluster, which seems to be more accurate.
