I just replaced my JBL Premium stereo with a Joying head unit. No sound, but everything else is working.

I don't see the menu option to turn the "Amp" on. Can you point me in the right direction please?

If you go to your settings it should look like the previous attached photo.

I should have clarified that I don't have that I don't seem to have that option in my settings. See attached. I don't see a "device" section in the settings.

Just learning about the new Joying, looks like the interface is quite a bit different. Is it able to download apps from the google play store ? I downloaded some apps on the older version that I really like, such as the 'car launcher'. Also, is there any difference in sound quality? No idea if its worth it to replace my old one with the new version.

Is it under "System" or "Common" ? Hopefully someone with the newer one will chime in.

This is why I have taken more of a backseat to answering questions on this thread. I am still running the original version of this unit that was not designed for the tacoma, so my settings and wiring is all different compared to the newer versions.

Here's where you would find the AMP section on the newest units.

System > factory (8888) > change model to Toyota (AMP)

I myself don't have the JBL system, but I believe this is the fix for it.

I have installed the Joying (JY-TZ216N4) into my 2018 (no JBL). I had previously installed an Anytime Backup Camera (ABC) front camera to my stock Entune head unit. Everything works great on the Joying, except the front camera. When I toggle the ABC switch from front to rear, the Joying shows my rear camera in both positions. I feel like I've explored as many setting on the head unit as I can find, all with no luck.

The Joying has a "front camera" RCA input which I do not have anything plugged into. I think that's for their AR camera, and isn't used for the ABC, but I could be wrong.

I see previous posts in this thread where others stated the ABC is working fine for them, but no descriptions on settings or troubleshooting. Anyone have advice for me? Thanks much.

P.S. I see a previous message that mentions a "front video" app. Any info on that, I have not found anything.

The "Car Setting" app that allows for changing such things as door locks and lighting is locked and will not allow input. It also does not prompt for a password/PIN to get into it. Anyone have advice on this?

Update on this for future readers in the same situation. I now have everything working with the front camera. The summary is that I uninstalled the harnesses which originally came with the ABC front camera, leaving me to plug in the truck's native connectors into the new Joying harness, and nothing else. I left the front camera installed which has a yellow RCA connector and a red power wire coming off it. I connected the RCA to the pigtail "front camera" RCA input on the back of the Joying. Also on the back of the Joying are two purple wires labeled "camera power" which has a two pin connector designed to plug into a Joying camera, which I didn't have. I cut the connector off the purple wire and spliced it to the red wire from the ABC cam. Viola.

I did not take photos, but can easily walk someone through it in the future. Message me if needed.

A quick update on this for any interested...

Joying sent me a new canbus harness, which solved my lack of sound problems. I did also have to select the Toyota (amp) in the settings as well.
