And the front covers are not going in as easily (not surprised) and is not fitting as well (surprised). It may be user error, and it is only the driver side so far. No time remaining today to do the passenger side, will see if I can get that side to fit better.

Sure, what details would you like?
    I did Morimoto d2s 5.0 projectors
    Morimoto Xb35 hid kit
Profile hi-lens led high beam projectors
Amber acrylic lenses for turn buckets
Switched to amber LEDs on the OEM drl and painted the lens amber.
All the chrome was painted in satin and matte black.
Let me know if you want any other info:thumbsup:

I wired the drl in the hi-lens into @DSIM module so they light up with the domes. So awesome seeing this when you unlock in a parking lot:cool:IMG_20190529_143750.jpg
The amber drls are my favorite part of the whole project.

They look very similar to mine except I used RX-350 projectors. Did you swap out your turn signals for LED? If so which ones did you get?

That is awesome! I guess it involves "baking" them? Is there a step by step guide of how to achieve it? And if you don't mind me asking, what was the total bill for this project?

Edit: oh and what are those 3 color strips on your grill? I don't know what they represent, but they look really nice.

Black headlights look sick on Barcelona!

Yeah I just used these no name ones off Amazon. They were recommended in the total tail light kit thread. They work fine and are very bright. https://www.amazon.com/ANTLINE-Newest-Projector-Replacement-Blinker/dp/B07HLMFVFQ

At times during the build I was wishing I had gone rx350s. The d2s were a pain to get mounted. I haven't seen anyone else use the profiles in the high beam. They are cheap and fit perfect.
    IMG_20190602_201519.jpg

Yep lots of baking. I was pretty freaked out after reading all the people saying it was so hard, but it really isn't bad. There are lots of temp/time suggestions I did 300° for 10 minutes. Here is the thread I referenced for mine https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/3rd-gen-bhlm-and-light-mods.450984/

Not counting the 220v circuit I added to my shop for a free Craiglist oven (happy wife, happy life), I am into it about $500, but I went pretty crazy. If you just want black headlights all you really need is some retro rubber and black spray paint ~ $30.

The decals are a retro Toyota thing. From the 80s I believe, but I've done a bit of searching and can't find a real origin. I think they are cool though, I found the decals on Etsy.retro.jpg

Loving my new Tacoma, in by far, my favourite available colour! So far my plans are some nice 17" dark bronze wheels, some tires that don't look like they belong on a minivan, some 20% tint and a tonneau cover. Haven't even owned the truck two weeks yet. Trying to keep the mod bug at bay as best I can! 20190530_202634.jpg

@tandemgeek your truck looks great! Wheels and tires work very well. I really like the Sema/FX pro wheels, but everyone and their grandma seems to have them. I'm hoping for something a little less common. I've always tried to be a little different with my cars. The new Fuel Shok, and Rebel wheels are nice, but there are soooooo many generic black and silver/milled/machined truck wheels it's hard to find something I really like. Here's a picture of my previous car to give you an idea of how "different" I went.
