Just bought a 19 TRD OR and excited to start modding - First up is some protection so I don’t do any major damage off-road.

Ordered some RCI sliders for the rockers, but did a search and can’t find any sliders for the bed/rear overhang. There are some good options for complete rear bumpers to improve the departure angle but does anyone make something to protect the bumper and overhang? Looking at the truck the rear is a vulnerable stock. Sure the hitch will help a little but looking for something to protect the corners.

Took some pix today of the Chevy Colorado Bison (AEV-modified) and the Jeep Gladiator Rubicon for bed slider reference.

    Thanks for your help!

That AEV bumper looks sweet, never seen anything like it for the Tacoma though. Other than the CBI high clearance bumper, sounds like you've already seen that, and it requires cutting off what you are trying to protect :sawzall:

Yeah, would love to get a CBI rear bumper eventually but in the meantime looking to just add a bolt-on piece for some added protection. The AEV parts looked really well done on the Bison, front bumper looked great and full skids, sliders. Looked ready to go for sure.

Yeah they put those fancy super thin skids on there, I think it's boron steel. AEV makes cool stuff, wish they supported the Tacoma.

Aren’t you just going to reduce departure angles and ground clearance? Why not just run it as is and put on an aftermarket high clearance bumper when you rip off the stock one?
