3rd Gen Belt Tensioner Pulley 3.5L 2019 Off Road

Currently the belt tensioner pulley bearing is screaming. (My truck is low km) The current option is to replace the whole tensioner assembly. (Very expensive) I have purchased the lowest cost tensioner assembly option on Rock Auto. My intention is to rob the pulley and bearing and do a quick swap. When i have the original pulley out, I will extract the bearing and post the exact dimensions and recommended replacement. I found things are unclear about this bearing for the tensioner and little on you tube about replacement. More to follow...2023/04/19 is the delivery from rock auto.

 

Why do you think you need to replace more then the pulley?

 

Maybe I’m misunderstanding. Aren’t we simply talking the $50 or so pulley with bearing?

 

Forever people have done this, just rob the bearing.

Only tip is that it’s left hand thread.

We’ve run into a different style bearing on a few but most swap over

Alas- you may be correct on the $50 part.
Perhaps someone can comment that they have "actually" installed the bellow part on the 3rd gen V6 3.5L.
