Yes. The projector has an internal shield that moves out of the way when high beam is engaged. You just wire them in or jist a splitter when you do the retrofit. Easy peasy.

So there's 4 wires per projector? Two for the HID then two for the shield? Shiekd just wires into the high beam plug on the truck?

If you want to do it that way, for like $5 you can get splitters that are basically a "Y". The trucks harness plugs into it, then it plugs into the high beam and the low beam bi-x actuator which should be like a 9006 standard plug iirc.

He's right ^^^ I'm too confusing LOL. The low beam bulb has the igniter attached to the back, then you have + and - wires coming out of the projector for the high beam actuator. My bad.

Derp, idk why I was getting confused. Makes sense now. I was imagining wires for the bulb, but those are separate anyway. Splitter is just to run the shield and stock highs. Got it now.

I'm looking at the rx350 projector per @mesojdm recommendation from TRS, question is the "projector/lens tuning" they offer worth the $100 extra fee or is it something that can be done reasonably by a newbie

If you have never tuned projectors before, I would say get them already tuned with the STi-R lens, it makes all the difference. If you have the time, patience, and are willing to play around with the projectors, you can definitely give it a shot. Keep in mind you will need to keep testing and adjusting your spacing (depending if you want more color, sharper cutoff, a mix of both). The rx350's seem rather simple to tune from what I've been reading, but I'd rather be able to just drop them in and not worry about them. I wish my old projectors had been tuned beforehand, it would have saved me so many hours :frusty:.

These links might help you out if you try it on your own:

Didnt upgrade to rx350s or hids cuz of costs. It was a pain in the ass but just wanted to lose the chome and happy with leds. A few pics. Halos hooked up to drl. Excuse the dirty truck....its winter

Thanks. Now to figure out if the two would essentially wash each out to where you couldn't distinguish between the DRL and Halo...I'm seriously considering upgrading the DRL board while doing the BHLM. I do not want to open the headlight up again unless I really have to.

Every little option adds up. Switchbacks drl, switchback drl, demon eyes, halo, hid projector, bi xenon hids.
