I did gloss but matte looked so much better2FA91BC2-D818-4D35-A146-A0BD9515D252.jpg
Something about the shine, you can see all the imperfections in the light whereas matte, not as noticable

The finish looks pretty good, there isn’t any orange peal. What paint?

That was actually vht nightshade. The only black i had, its the clearcoat that is either glossy or matte. It was a test run. Changed everything up later on

Ahhh the nightshade over the factory chrome. That’s a good tactic! I like the silver, maybe I should go gray

Ain't nothing wrong with black! My go-to is matte. Flat is too dull, semi is too glossy.

I like to say black is for people who cant make a decision. At least in my business its the goto(safe) color

Black is good. You want them to just blend in with no noticeable distinctions from far away. Your color match versions look great, just not my cup of tea. Although, the silver really helps the halo blend.

IMG_2217.PNG.jpg @mesojdm what would be involved in doing this? Can it even be done on our trucks? Think they'll fit?

Those are Acura Jewel eyes. Found in the Acura RDX and MDX.
The inner 2 pods are High beam, outside 3 are Low beam. And they have a tiny LED on the inside top of each for a DRL

"what would be involved in doing this? " A LOT
"Can it even be done on our trucks?" Anything can be done with enough time and money
"Think they'll fit?" We'll see. I'll let you know when my set is done;)

Right.. looked a little photo shopped to me. The output from those lights aren't the BEST out there...but they are better than most setups. Most importantly is the unique design. It's a trade off Form VS function.

Very nice setup. TLX also appears to be the same. I wonder if they have any output differences vs rdx and mdx

Not sure. The pair of MDX's I have do have decent cutoff and output. There is also the ILX which has 8 jewels, but I don't think I can fit those.

I thought OEM LEDs were better than HIDs? Seems like most luxury car companies have changed to LED. I know the e-class has a ton of individually controlled LEDS, which is super cool.

Nice lugs. Any problem with the lug key fitting the holes when you were screwing them in?
