You want non-afs. No idea what it is, but the bolt pattern is different and the afs version will not bolt in correctly.

Don't know if it's recommended by many but I'm going with Morimoto powerhouse ballast and D2S 5500k bulbs.

Non afs is harder to find especially when ordering from lightwerkz or trs. I have some afs with the conversion adapter I got from lightwerkz I am selling.

Just finished another standard blacked out set last night. Going to be doing a retrofit set next week, I’ll be sure to post some pictures.

Potted denso slim ballasts and either osram CBI pr Philips xtreme vision d2s bulbs. That's all OEM quality. I've got nothing against morimoto, and I do believe they are about the best aftermarket you can buy, but they just dont even compete with the manufacturers who supply toyota, lexus, gm, honda and others.

Who's building those? Which projectors, bulbs and ballasts are you using?

CW customs. Rx350 with Sti-r clear lens. Morimoto powerhouse ballast with D2S 5500 lights. Also has turn signal bucket shield so still usable but blacked out when not in use.

Cool. One thing, I'd highly recommend you consider a OEM quality d2s bulb. You actually have a projector that uses a d2s bulb so why not take advantage? Osram CBI bulbs are an excellent choice and just recently started to come down in price. Lightwerkz has a memorial day weekend sale going on and you can get a set for like $90. There really is a big difference when choosing bulbs and unless you wanna spend double the price of the CBI's, you're not gonna find anything close to their performance and pure white color. Morimotos are great when you need a re-based Hx build for a halogen type projector but they have a slight greenish hue which bugs me. I LOVE my CBI's and Philips Xtreme visions though. The bad thing is that the Philips XV's are about double the price.

I couldn't agree more with using OEM bulbs since you now have the correct projectors for them. Those headlights are looking good though! Can't wait to see them on your truck.

I have a brand new set of OEmassive lights sitting in the box along with the jewel eyes. Once I can get caught up with all the mods I sell, these are next on the list. I don't anticipate it being a drop in retro though lol.
