For those installing halo's, what's the size that you are using? How are you mounting them?

80mm halos and using a high gauge picture wire or fishing line to secure them on. Glue has the possibility to yellow over time or seep around the halo.
Lightwerks is having a little Fathers Day sale. Might be worth checking out https://www.lightwerkz.net/index.ph...alos/universal-sizes/profile-pivot-halos.html

Making this a slow project so I don't go insane. Ordered rx350 projectors, switchback halos and drl board. Took apart 1 headlight and removed glue from channel.
Heated 300 for 11 minutes, ran flat head screwdriver around outer edge to loosen glue. Back in oven for 3 min. Started prying apart, mainly with screwdriver, used the reverse pliers mentioned in thread once lens started to separate some. Back in the oven for 4 minutes. Separated 90% of headlight, but stuck on stubborn bottom portion. Back in the oven for 3 minutes. Finally separated, not too bad overall, 2 broken clips (easy fix) but I did damage the edge of the housing by the side reflector. Think some plastic weld will do fine.
As far as the glue removal...:jerkoff:. That took a while. Tried heat gun (glue just crumbled apart), tried dremel (felt like I was going to damage housing). In the end, @mesojdm suggestion of flat head and rolling glue out in strips worked best, but still time consuming.
Will tackle other light next week and paint parts at the same time.

Those running rx350 projectors, did you put aluminum tape around projector?

What's the concern with wiping the inside of the lens? What if it's dirty or smudged? Anything safe to clean internal components with? I know degreaser was mentioned for reflectors.

The concern is no matter how throughout your cleaning method is, there is always a high chance of leaving behind remnants from cleaning. Whether that's swirls, smudges, or polishing marks. I try and not touch in inside if I can and just use touchless compressed air.

Kings, 275/70/17, a few custom items, lots of Meso mods.
I believe Diode Dynamics or The Retrofit Source.

Finally tackled this project. I used liquid nitrogen to freeze the permaseal which made it easier to remove. You could maybe use dry ice but I haven’t tried so I don’t know if it will work but it works for removing dynomats.
