Unfortunately yes, they have to be cut.
Not as easy as headlights you can pop in the oven. And the cutline has to e perfect otherwise it will be visible from the outside(through the lens).

Thanks for the help guys, now that I know what I was doing wrong with the tail lights I’m gonna give the headlights a go this weekend. Got all the supplies so why not.

I just blacked out my turn signal buckets. You can see the turn signal though from afar just not as bright, but enough to tell I am signaling. You can also get some switchbacks if you don't like the look of the amber running light. I haven't seen anyone post close ups of the film up close.

It was a battle but the end is in sight. Removing the permaseal from the channel was definitelythe hardest part. But I wanna be able to get back in and do some retro fitting some day.

Yes it is krylon fusion satin black. I literally went to every hardware store around and only 1 place had it.

Took a different approach, tried to keep a little more chrome than most, really doing this for the retrofit anyways and not so much the BHLM. Went with Krylon maxx gloss black. Still needs clear coat but I’m very impressed with the finish of this paint.

I may have one side . Do you need the passenger or driver side, or do you need both?

Also, are you talking about the chrome buckets or the larger piece that mounts onto the lens?

I’ll check to see what I have tonight.

That looks great and it's almost the exact same thing I want to do though using tuned RX350 projectors.

That looks good. not digging the color matched though. I have all the parts sitting on a shelf I just don’t have a free minute for fun stuff anymore :frusty:
Wonder how they are adjusting beam height

Yeah, the color matched bezel is pretty wild. I think a gunmetal or smoked look wouldve been better personally. I'd be curious to see too how the lines of the projector and the cutoff and adjustment all work. Obviously they were designed to be in a headlight built for the lines on a particular car. Looks wild though!

Maybe it’s all the red throwing me off.. but doesn’t look as good as I thought. Defiently wild. I did some beam pattern testing with the MDX and RLX. They are awesome for the unique factor, but even a basic morimoto single D2S projector throws light better.
