Mod done! Took all day yesterday to get the final light together and sort out wiring and placement of all the new led controllers.

    BHLM with chrome headlight rings
    RX350 projectors with clear lens
    Meso stage 2 side markers
    Profile Pixel DRL switchbacks

There are some issues with the way the DRL works on my truck (2018) that lead to some issues.
I think the Meso side markers are built to dim with the DRLs... however, mine do not dim.
This lead to an issue with the Profile Pixels either because the wiring is not as expected or it has changed in 2018.
The DRLs would only run when the engine was running and headlights off which was not what the stock DRLs did.
I ended up switching the wires on the connector which fixed the issue.
However, I am still missing the dimming functionality when the lights are on. I have searched and it looks like some trucks have it and some don't.

Having to do it all over again, I would probably do it. I wish I had the temp correct to begin with because my stock lights came apart so easy compared to the replacement light I had to purchase. I will post a pic when I get a chance to take one.

I probably would wait and get the Diode Dynamic DRL switchbacks vs the Profiles. There is some quirky things like when they turn on they switch off and then back on. When using the turn signal, when it is done it takes a few seconds to turn the DRL back on. Just seems a little slow compared to the Meso switchback which is using a DD led controller. I may reach out and ask DD if they have a controller I can swap out since I don't use the RGB controller.

    Next up, audio build $$$.

Has anyone that's done the bhlm, has anyone painted the led DRL lens an amber color? Not sure if it would look good or bad.

Just curious....has anyone with switchback halos reversed the power wire to make the halo run as amber vs white? I thought I read that the amber runs at like 200 % so keeping it on would short out the halo... I was told by retrofitsource that if I wanted amber on full time just to reverse the power o_O:confused:

Some halos will run bright Amber for 2 seconds and then switch to lower power so they can be used for turns or marker light. All depends on which ones you have.

Ohhhhh….did not think of that. I had asked about the semi-circles but they don't have our size.. so I asked if the RGB could make the amber color and told me yes they could, but, if I was looking for them to be amber all the time then to just get the prism switchback halos and reverse the power wire. So question on that.....if they run on lower power, will the turn/hazards signal remain amber and flash on and off, or will they flash white for the turn/hazards then back to amber? o_O

If you reverse them the Amber's will just be low power all the time. If you hookup the white to turn signal it should flash. I went with retrofit source switchback. But currently have them hooked up correct way. New set will just be Amber all the time. You can't have Amber's as marker light and turns at same time to my knowledge. Could be wrong. Just FYI, The switchback DRLS cannot be used as Amber all the time.

That's what I'm thinking of doing or just getting the RGB halos. Still got time but just weighing my options lol. But I have an SR5 so no DRLS for me lol. Thanks for the info man!

I’ve only browsed through the last few posts, but I had a customer who got rgb drl’s looking to run them amber all the time. He wasn’t happy with the color of the amber at all. Just something to consider since I know they aren’t cheap!

So, I'm thinking about this (maybe paint them to match my truck) but what year model RX350 projectors are needed to retrofit?

I believe they are all the same as long as they are non-afs.

Yeah I was looking for more turn signal visibility after painting the grill black, and this idea popped up.
