I don't have an oven in my house (long story) and tried a heat gun. Well that was a fail. I'm going to have to squat in somebody's house and use their oven. lol

Just microwave it..like a hot pocket!!
Heat gun will not work. You need to warm up the entire housing CONSISTENTLY in order to pry it apart. Heating 1 spot and pulling will only result in a warped bucket.
Craigslist a used oven ~$50 is your best bet.

I'd go to Best Buy or sears and use of the ones they have plugged in. Just do a BHLM right in the store

    haha.

I noticed this butyl has a higher melt point vs the plastic itself so that's why I quit.

I like the best buy idea as a 'test drive' but I think management may say something about it. lol

You'll have to slightly mod this splitter with a dremmel to make it fit properly

    Boss Level:

Desoldered the white DRL LED's and replaced them with 1W 3030 Ambers. Uses the factory Optics/PCB/connectors. HELL YA.

    Measured specs:
    OEM white LED's: .45A Draw
    New AMBER 3030's : .55A Draw.

Very close to factory, and they are freakin BRIGHT. All amber baby!

    Custom(left) OEM (right)

Popped it in real quick on the drivers side, I wanted to test it again the OEM white DRL.
    HOT DAMN. These are wicked....
Obvisouly the camera can't capture it, but they are noticeably brighter. If you thought the white LED's were bright.. think again

well crap. I made my diy oven which heats up pretty good with heat but that damn sealant is so much of a pita. I'm really messing up that black housing. I spent a few hours at it and still no go. I'll give it another shot tonight.

At least it's where you can't see the damage. lol

Need some honest opinions here. Should the back of the house look rough AF. I don't think I have the proper patience for this.

I tried using a utility knife and I cut through the back of the tray a few times, stabed myself multiple times, and sliced open the top of my thumb.

How much of the perma seal do we have to removeo_O

    I think I'm calling it...

Put the back of the housing back in the oven
It comes out easier when it's warm
