What am I supposed to do with this tabbed connector at the top? Looks like maybe a grounding point?

Anyone know what connector that is next to my washer pump solenoid? I have 6 connectors on my passenger side and 5 on drivers side. IMG_3190.jpg

Should be the same on both sides as far as headlight plugs. Did the electrical plug for the washer tank come unplugged?

    Almost done!
I ordered the h11 high beam splitters instead of the h9 (I don't see h9 on lightwerks site). Can I just trim the inside of the connector to fit my h9 female plug?

Thanks @mesojdm for this thread and for @Stoked4 and @SearArtist for answering my questions along the way.

I'm slow (i'd like to say "detail-oriented") when I work on cars. This took me a few afternoons to complete, first splitting the headlights which was nerve wracking, then the effing crap process of removing satans snot from the housings, then painting, retrofitting the RX350 projectors, and finally wiring and installing the retrofit harness and computers. In hindsight I would recommend paying someone to do this for you unless you have an excess of free time and patience. I'm all for DIY but sometimes you have to choose your battles.

I love the RX350 projectors so far. The OEM headlights sucked. The projectors are better than the headlights in any car I've owned. They're on opposite ends of the spectrum. Save your pennies and get these installed.

    Enough talk.

It's hard to snap good shots of these, but you know how they look. I kept the chrome ring around the projector and painted the rest with a satin black.

Because I'm OCD I made a small tab to mount the relays for the new HIDs. It kept me from having to drill into the truck and I'm happy with how it turned out.

This is where I mounted the passenger side computer. There's some sticky foam underneath that'll keep it elevated off the car, hopefully keeping it a little more dry and stuff.

Aiming the headlights. I highly recommend you do this if you've messed with your headlights or suspension at all. It takes 5-10 minutes and keeps your lights working properly and keeps you from blinding other drivers.

This is with the brights on. Look at the hotspot on the right - that's the bixenon projector from the right headlight. I had the left side wired incorrectly for this shot, but it was nice to see the difference.

5500k, but the white balancing on my phone doesn't show the color properly.
Personally I wouldn't go any higher than that or they'll start looking too blue. These are a nice white with a slight blue hue.

I'd recommend osram CBI. That's the best reason of having a d2s projector is to use an oem type bulb. I have them and the Philips XV's. Both are a really great color imo.

How much does it cost to have this done? I really don’t have the time for this but is something I would consider paying someone to do. I love the light cut off on the rx350

I am worried about doing the work and the black paint fading over time from sun and heat. what are the chances of this, and me having to do this again down the road?
