As long as you prep right, there should be no issues with it fading

Is there a way to remove the LED strip before baking the lights in the oven, or is everyone just baking the led strip until the lens comes off?

No way to remove prior to baking. They will be fine.

Thank you so much for the response, I've always wanted to upgrade my current BHLM setup to something with an LED strip. Love this forum.

Put some butter in there. It'll keep it from frying

    The heat doesn’t hurt them
Dare I say I prefer the look of the truck without the led running lights?

I did 290 at 15mins and then 10mins on the reheats. I cracked some of the plastic in one of the corners though. Going to just use some rtv sealant at the end and hopefully it will hold. Waiting on retro rubber to come in and will get the other headlight done next week.

That metal part is too big and it doesn’t allow the screws on the base to go in

Is that the original metal piece from the old projector?
Oh and make sure you run the high beam wire before you put the lights back in the oven
    I made that mistake

I made the same mistake.:anonymous: I'm to lazy to tear them apart to get the high beams running.

    Can you remove the bracket?
    What does it do?
I have the same setup and didn’t run into this problem
Maybe the projectors are afs like you said

No it can't remove, it's part of the frame, I contacted TRFS and they tell me I have to cut the metal frame that I indicated in the image but I haven’t seen a post that mentions cutting the projector, can someone tell me if they had to do that?

I didn’t have to cut anything metal
Just part of the plastic housing

Mine bolted in. It looks like they put a AFS to Non-AFS Adapter on there. Mine didn't have a black plastic piece on the back of the housing like yours does.

I think the black plastic piece is for the high beams
