The front won't be the issue. It will be the rear clearance. The back of the projector will probably be hanging out the hole.

    The threaded shaft?

Might have to go the bolt route

Sure, but then it wouldn't be adjustable. (critical for low beam)
The issue will be how uneven the rear plastic housing is. Here is an example of the modifications needed for a 3" projector in high beam spot:

Still haven't got a spare set of housings yet, the projector needs to sit that far back

I wonder if it would be better to move the factory projector to the high beam spot and new projector in the factory spot. High beam shouldnt need to be adjusted right?

yes that's a better plan. But I wanted 4 low beams and 4 high beams with full adjustment.

I hate to ask a stupid question here but here goes.... how do the Rx350 projects give you hi and low? If I just want that and dont care about running the stock hi bulb any more then I dont have to?

There is a shield in the projector. It blocks the upper portion of the light for low beam and when you hit high beam it moves out of the way.

How exactly does it do that? Is there something special that needs to be changed on the harness?

There are two wires that come off the projector itself, you wire those to your stock high beam plug on the truck’s harness. You’ll just need the matching female plug to put on the wires coming off the projector, h9 I believe? May be having a brain fart on that.

You will need an adapter to plug into your High beam plug. It plugs into the shield actuator. When you turn on your high beams it moves the shield instead of turning on the other high beam light you used to have.

Does anyone here have a set of amber headlight reflectors left over if they replaced them with clears? I messed mine up and need replacements.

Is there a special paint needed for the headlight chrome and blacking out part of the halo?
