When ordering hid kits what wiring harness and adapters do I need for the bi-xenons?

    Thanks

    Finished my bhlm with rx350’s.
What are you guys using for dust caps? Or are you just not running any?

Yes. For the back of the rx350 projector.
As for the high beam actuator wires, brown and white, which goes on which side of pigtail?

This might help. My headlights came with what looks like the OEM dust guard but split and resealed for the wires.
As for the wires into the pigtail, notice the tab and orientation of the wires in this pic. Hope it helps?Screenshot_20181026-193504_Gallery.jpg

Does anyone who's running quads have pics of where they mounted all the relays and ballasts? Also, do the ballast get hot? Was thinking of stacking 2 together but have a small gap for airflow.
    Thanks

If Stack 2 but throw a small spacer in between for a little airflow. I like the upper radiator support. there is ample Room mounted vertically. But I also had smaller ballasts(well..Drivers)

That's what I was hoping. I already have my 2 current ones mounted on rad support but not much room left so was going to stack them. Small spacers should work fine. Thanks

It's just Black Perforated Headlight Vinyl Wrap. You can find it on Amazon for about $12-15. Will have lots left over.

I'm having a really difficult time with my driver side headlight .

I finished the retro and realized the driver side projector was slanted in or something because as I back out my driveway I see the 2 steps of the projector cut off come closer and closer together. I know it's the driver side because as I back up I place a tape in my wall and see that the passenger doesn't move and the driver side does .

Has anyone else had this problem ?

I don't know enough about the inside of these to give you good info but I thought the could only go in one way? I do know there is a little adjustment you can make by loosening the bolts that hold it to the body. Not much but a little. Also check the gap where it meets the fender as shown in pic. Make sure both sides have about the same gap. Hope you don't have to take them apart again. Hopefully a rebuild will chime in.

    Thanks for the tip.

To avoid having to reseal and open them again i mounted them into the car without the front lens and they seem to be pretty sturdy without a front lens but there is still seem to be off. Just making up the driveway 5 feet the two cut off are coming together.

I do notice that if I push on the plastic behind where the reflector should be it does get pushed straight but i'm pushing it beyond the point where if the front lens was on the car they would break or crack the lens.

Since you have them apart already, try offsetting the inner mounting somehow? You may be able to add a washer between the lens and the cutoff shield but I don't recommend doing this.

That sounds like there's an issue with the projector.

I attempted to add a washer between the projector and the 4 mounting points and that didn't seem to help.

This is going to be a very arduous task to trouble shoot.

What I'm going to do this weekend is place the stock projector back in with the housing and put the regular bulb in and see if the issue still happens. If it does it means that there's an issue with the housing now. I also placed tape on the wall when I had the two stock projectors on and marked where they should be pointing and the passenger side was spot on and the first iteration of the driver side it was definitely pointing in towards the center of the car. With the front lens off the issue isn't as bad.

Can you loosen the bolt by the wheel to adjust it back at all? Then loosen the top 2 and pull that part out just a little. Are these the stock projectors?

The bolt in the middle of the wheel only helps adjust vertical movement up and down. I need horizontal adjustment to point the center of the project left some.

I just want to note that I've done a headlight retro on every car I've owned which is about 5 over the course of my life. This tacoma has been by far the hardest with the alignment. I was ready for the permaseal and the dremeling to make space for the solenoid since it was something i've done before. I thought the aligment was by far going to be the easiest but now i'm here.
