Yeah same bolt pattern. I plan to use those adapters you speak of, just wondering how much theyll need to be spaced forward...

Anyone know how hard it is to replace the high beam reflector with a projector? I believe earlier Meso said that you have to put a smaller projector in unlesss you modify the housing. Has anyone done it?

I bought a pair for around $100 on Ebay. Missing tabs and scuffed up. Always email the seller for a combined deal.

The internal headlight parts are practically brand new.

Cool thanks man, I was considering doing this to my OEM ones, but if I can get a practice set for $100 I’d be all in.

Do you have a parts list by chance of everything you used? Like are they obtainable off of Amazon?

Might be easier to try Profile's LED highs. The output is decent and compliments a bi-xenon projector.

Would have been nice if it was a single large lens that way it would match the bi-xenon.

Could always use a cheap mini h1 with the cutoff and foreground shields removed so it's just a full-time high beam. They are only like $20. EDIT: Actually that would suck because of the HID warm up time.

I've thought about putting the oem projector in the high seam spot and removing the cutoff sheild

Might work with an LED bulb as well if the yellow of the halogen isn't wanted. No issues with scattered light as it's for a high beam anyways but probably won't perform as well.

    You think?

I know the lens on the d2s in my 1st gen looked like a magnifying glass, reflecting the light as you wanted it

Without the LED being properly mounted it won't throw as far as it should.

It's the factory shroud so h11 bulb will fit fine?

Are these the adapters you speak of? https://www.lightwerkz.net/index.php/components/retrofit-brackets/toyota-tacoma-d2s-bracket.html

mesojdm - would you use the new D2S 5.0 or the RX350 projectors? I’m debating, and if there’s an adapter plate for a bolt in installation, it makes it a difficult decision. I’d like some input from some more experienced retrofitters.

I’d try the 5.0 out especially at the price point. I’m working on a set of quad 5.0’s,
... probably around the same price as a single pair of RX’s ha. Morimoto has really improved on their projectors.
