    So I am mid stroke on a BHLM/Retro, using Morimoto D2S 5.0 bi-xenon projectors.

I purchased the high beam harness so I could use my factory high beams as added cool factor, but I would also like to darken up the factory high beam reflector, and was wondering if anyone has tried using lens tint (spray) on the reflector with good success?

My concern is that the OEM high beam bulb will put out too much heat, and probably destroy the lens tint on the reflectors (have the same concern with just blacking out the reflector), so I am looking to replace the factory bulb with an LED forward facing spot of some kind. My thought is that if I can put an LED in there, even one with multiple elements, it will provide some light output, but way less heat output. It's a form over function thing for sure.

Can anyone recommend an LED that has forward facing elements to replace the OEM high beam bulb?

    Thanks

I don’t think you can “destroy” the paint especially since there isn’t any physical contact. Also, it’s not like you’ll have your high beams on for extended durations. I’m sure you’ll be just fine with the stock bulb
