Probably not what you folks want to hear, but I am turning all my Stack of LED boards into targets this weekend

That's the cost of the R&D biz, I guess.

New boards are being designed and manufactured by a well known/highly reputable light company custom for this build. So they will be the best EVER.


Last, I testing something super awesome in the reverse bucket. No more chrome
Clue; I am using the same components that are in my Ultimate Mirror.Except like 3Xmore.

Gave your post a reluctant 'Like' only because I appreciate the progress update. Still following every bit of news til I can grab one up!

 

^Try and keep it updated as much as I can. I have other Projects going on so I tend to jump around.
Ya, it sucks...but if I am going to release the BEST tail light..I won't settle for anything less. Having the boards made by a legit light company, I can be rest assured form,function,and reliability will be 100%.

P.s. the light output was good on the boards, I just was not happy with the light spacing; resulting in gaps of light giving me the braces look. I am going for a solid "plasmabeam" horseshoe, like my original prototypes. I could have ran a frosted diffuser over it, but that reduces the light intensity.

Okay, Ive gone off the deep end...
As my friend's keep telling me; "I'm a light nazi"

I have came up with a way to:
1)Get rid of the chrome
2)BRIGHTER Turn signal.

Edit: I will be doing both AMBER and WHITE LED rows alternating. That way this will can retain all factory functions if need be. Even though I plan on flush mount AUX lights in a different rear bumper.

First:
Template for reverse bucket cover;


All 6 lines will be milled slots for 6 rows of amber LED strips.( mounted from behind for a clean look)



Now heres the cool part:
Using the built in diffusers to my ADVANTAGE!! As you can see, I still only have 6 rows..
Toyota knew I was going to mod this, so they were nice enough to place the lines PERFECT so the Light is split
Making it look like 12 total rows. = BRIGHT


Junk panel to see how I like color.( I have multicam accents over the entire truck) SO it should match well.
