3rd Gen Carplay Upgrade?

Want to upgrade stock head unit to one compatible with apple carplay but im not sure the differences in quality between brands like Kenwood/Alpine/Pioneer.

Anyone have any experience upgrading 3rd Gen 6" LCD screen to Carplay and have any suggestions for specific model head units or brands in general?

 

Those are all good brands to chose from. Some promote chinese brands here for 50% the price but buy once cry once. My pioneer is 4 years old now and hasnt had a hitch.

You'll loose fuel economy tracking and factory nav, but carplay is superior in every way except remote gps use.
