3rd Gen- Cheap/easy license plate light glare fix

I messaged a few YouTubers back when I first made these, she was the only one that said she'd make a video with them, big props for helping the small guys!

 

Guess what arrived today?

If I'm honest, looking back at the pictures in post 244, I thought the etching would be deeper and more visible since it looks like there's more of a discernible edge to them.

At certain angles they look great!



But if you go just off of that, it's a lot more subtle, almost disappearing.







Was I "expecting too much" or is the etching on these shallower than intended? Either way, they'll do the job they were designed to do.

 

I lowered the power a bit from what I used to use, that way the texture still shows and it has less of a raw look in the etching area. If you are wanting the etching deeper I can definitely do another set at higher power for you!

 

I don't want to be a pain in the ass but I certainly wouldn't be opposed to one that was deeper.

 

No worries! Others may have had the same thought but didn't say anything, I'll up the power a bit and try to find the sweet spot where I get depth and keep some texture
